Hello everyone! I’m David, an incoming graduate student at MIT.

As I prepare for moving to Massachusetts, I began to think that it would be nice to record my thoughts and experiences at a blog for reflection and recordkeeping, and hence I’m writing this very first post.

I believe that the life at graduate school will be full of challenges and difficulties, but also filled with exciting opportunities and experiences. I hope to, and will enjoy both of these altogether. Essentially, I plan to adopt Carpe diem approach, i.e., to fully immerse myself in every pieces of my research and life. I am also looking forward to exploring some new hobbies such as sailing and canoeing. I believe that pursuing these hobbies will serve as a great source for refresh and inspiration.
