Novel Superconducting Qubit Design with Qiskit Metal

In this project, I aim to design and analyze the performance of novel qubits based on superconducting quantum circuits using the open-source software, Qiskit Metal. Here, I consider the qubit design beyond the traditional transmon qubit, fluxonium, and flux qubit. Moreover, I explore the implementation of bosonic quantum error-correcting codes in the designed systems.

Optimal Pulse Sequence Design with Qiskit Pulse

In this project, I aim to design hardware-efficient pulses for controlling qubits using Qiskit Pulse. Note that qubits are typically calibrated by measuring the relaxation time T_1 with the Rabi pulse (\pi pulse), and measuring the decoherence time T_2 with the Ramsey pulse sequence (\pi/2 - \pi - \pi/2). I aim to optimize the pulse sequence for controlling qubits.
